Marc Hershovitz provides a wide range of legal services to individual and corporate clients. Hershovitz’s practice focuses on three principal areas: litigation, business counseling, and political law.

In 2006, American Lawyer Media's Daily Report named Hershovitz as one of 14 Georgia lawyers under 40 "On the Rise." In 2004, Atlanta Magazine along with Law & Politics Magazine selected Hershovitz as one of the top lawyers in the State of Georgia. The Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory has given Hershovitz its prestigious "AV" rating, signifying that Hershovitz has been recognized by his colleagues for possessing the highest levels of skill and integrity.

Unlike larger firms who retain unknown associates to perform the majority of the work, Hershovitz handles each client's case personally.

For large, complex cases where the special expertise of other lawyers may be necessary, Hershovitz puts together a team of lawyers--leading practitioners in their respective fields--to create a virtual law firm for just that client and case.

Hershovitz served as Deputy Executive Counsel to Georgia Governor Roy Barnes during the first year of his administration. Additionally, Hershovitz has worked with mayoral, congressional, statewide, and national political campaigns since 1992. This background allows Hershovitz to address his clients’ needs with a unique strategic vision.

Hershovitz is admitted to practice before all trial and appellate courts of the State of Georgia, the United States Supreme Court, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Hershovitz has also either supervised litigation on behalf of clients or been admitted to practice on a per case basis in California, Florida, Mississippi, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Texas, and Ontario, Canada.

Hershovitz is the author of "Unhitching the Trailer Clause: The Rights of Inventive Employees and their Employers" published in The Journal of Intellectual Property Law (3 J. Intell. Prop. L. 187 (1995)). He also served as Senior Trademark Editor of The Journal of Intellectual Property Law. Hershovitz served as a law clerk to Georgia Supreme Court Justice Robert Benham while in law school and later managed his successful 2002 re-election campaign.

Hershovitz is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the DeKalb County and American Bar Associations, and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta. He is active with the Anti-Defamation League and is a past participant in its national leadership development program. Hershovitz also has served as an advisor for the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization.

Raised in Duluth, Georgia, Hershovitz is a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law. He also received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia cum laude, with high honors, and with honors in political science.
