Marc Hershovitz
Marc Hershovitz represents clients in court, both at trial and on appeal, where he has had considerable success, including serving as lead counsel of the team of lawyers that obtained the largest trial verdict in Georgia history — $459 million.
In addition to his litigation practice, Marc helps small and mid-sized businesses identify and address the legal issues that are involved in the decisions that they make every day. Most of Marc’s business clients treat him as a trusted member of their management team and seek his advice on the broad range of matters that arise on a regular basis.
In college, Marc worked for U.S. Congressman Ben Jones, who is better known for playing Cooter in the classic TV series The Dukes of Hazzard. Following up on his interest in politics after graduating from law school, Marc has represented political candidates, campaigns, and interest groups before state and federal regulatory agencies, and in court when necessary. Marc served as Deputy Executive Counsel to Georgia Governor Roy Barnes during the first year of his administration. He also served as a law clerk to Georgia Supreme Court Justice Robert Benham while in law school and later managed his successful 2002 re-election campaign.
Because of Marc’s experience advising a variety of individuals and businesses on a diverse range of matters, he brings a unique perspective to the challenges his clients face. Marc’s experience allows him to do more than just tell someone whether something is “legal,” he is able to advise his clients regarding strategy and tactics as they relate to their business objectives.
